The gîte

Since 1987, holidaymakers can spend some time in our « Gîte» in Bernardvillé, in the heart of the Alsace wine region.

The village

The village where we live, is nestled at the bottom of a small  and  picturesque valley. If counts about 200 inhabitants. The area is particularly calm even in Summer, because we live 2 km away from the main Wine Road. There are no shops in the village itself, but the baker comes every morning with fresh bread. The shopping can be done in the little town of Barr, only 8 km away, or in Epfig (5 km). Many restaurants will be found in the near vicinity; some of them less than  2 km away.

Le Felsberg

You will find our house at the entrance of the village (n°21), in a frame of greenery, between the slopes of the Eichelberg and Felsberg, both covered with vineyards. Simone takes lovingly care of the flowers that make the house look all the more friendly.

The "gîte" is on the first floor. If offers three bedrooms, a kitchen, a dining room with living area, and a shower room with toilets. In its 80 sq. meters the "gîte" will provide enough room for four adults or two adults and three children, a bed for a baby. Central heating and the bed linen are included. The beds are ready on your arrival.

Outside there is a garden table and a barbecue;

A children's playground 150 meters away

From the windows of the apartment, you will enjoy a nice view on hills covered with vineyards, or on the Ungersberg with an altitude of 901 m.

Our situation in Central Alsace (Pays de Barr et du Bernstein) is particularly interesting. Strasbourg to the north-east and Colmar to the south, can be easily reached in half an hour on the motorway. Wonderful places like "Mount St Odile"' or the medieval castle of "Haut Koenigsbourg", are quite near.The area is a paradise for people who like walking. Cross- country cycling will also enable you to discover the vineyards as well as the villages with flowers everywhere.
